block clean up
]Can I clean this block or not?
Is this a wrong motor mount? Check the holes in the intake area? Pics included or not.... TIA [ [Attachment 1918553 |

Yes the block can be cleaned up but it has to come all apart to the bare block and be cleaned at a machine shop.
The holes you circled are oil drain back holes. A lot of guys dress up the casting flash with a die grinder before sending it to be cleaned to get rid of any edges that might brake off. As far as the motor mount goes the whole engine looks like it might be shifted forward a bit Is it just sitting in there and not bolted down? I'm thinking that looks to be a 73/87 so the guys over in the square body section might know more about it unless it is one of those cobbled together frame swap messes. Then you put the engine where it needs to be and drill new holes.
