Cab lights on a lowered truck?

Ive seen cab lights on 4x4's and cab lights on stock styled trucks, but I don't think Ive ever seen cab lights on a lowered ride. Im curious if it looks cool, or if it just never belongs on a lowered (shorty or long) truck.

If you have a pic please post it up.

Re: Cab lights on a lowered truck?

I think they could look very cool.
Do you care?
Don't be square
Take a dare
Just go there
Add the flare

Does that sound fair?

Re: Cab lights on a lowered truck?

Haha nice one Tim. I have pics somewhere of a 67 shorty that has cab lights and west coast Jr mirrors, and is lowered. I like them, but like anything to each their own.

Somewhere on here there is a '71 Cheyenne build that has cab lights.

Re: Cab lights on a lowered truck?

My 72 super 2wd had cab lights, first thing I did was cut the roof skin off...I almost didn't buy it because it had the lights. I don't like them on anything other than the big rigs

Roof lights on a lowered 2wd. I guess you could call them “low clearance” lights.
Is that fair dr zeuss?

Looks good to me! You gotta keep the rig look though. Cab lights on just a lowered c10 with nothing else wouldn't flow.

Re: Cab lights on a lowered truck?

I love cab lights, just never saw them on a lowered, or custom style truck before. So I was curious.

I like cab lights on a dually lowered. They just don't seem to make sense on anything else but a dually but that's just my opinion.

Those two trucks look more like they were made for a cartoon character. If a truck looks good with cab lights it will look good lowered with cab lights. I wouldn't want cab lights on a truck I built to look clean, uncluttered, and smooth as possible, same as I wouldn't want bumper guards.

Re: Cab lights on a lowered truck?

Boog's your man for that. Sometimes my laptop even flips mine sideways from how they are in my files.

Those two trucks look fine with the lights. If it was me, I wouldn't put them on and if they were on I'd leave them there. Most people don't like a cap on these trucks. But, C/10 King shows his lowered '67 and people love the look. If that truck had clearance lamps, or that Central Valley GMC, they would have only added to the look. I like a clean look. But clearncae lamps 'can' look great!

Re: Cab lights on a lowered truck?

To me they always look great on a stock truck of any style. Just wondered what they looked like on a slammed or just lowered ... maybe a 4-6 drop.

I was thinking to say the same thing. The relationship of the bottom line of a truck and the ground has no effect on how cab lights will look. If you can like them on a certain truck, wouldn't you still like them if that truck was lowered? And can't you look at a stock height truck and picture it a few inches lower? That is an easy photoshop. Since it's so uncommon to see cab lights on lowered trucks, why not take pictures of trucks with cab lights you like to... Hey wait a minute. You're a photochopper yourself, aren't you? Give it a whirl.
