1998 K1500 Power Mirrors

Hi, I was recently working on repairing my power mirrors and after some diagnosis I found they weren't getting power to the switch. I found there was power to the connection before the switch. I then cut wires and gave power to the switch. Everything worked until the switch smoked and now it will only power the mirrors down. After this I noticed I cut out a resistor board/voltage regulator of some sort. Where would I find a replacement for the resistor part that goes before the switch.

I appears you are describing 2 different things

It would appear you have heated mirrors since the direction does not use resistors or circuitry of the sort.

The only thing similar you could have cut out was the resistors for the heating elements.

However this should have NOTHING at all to do with direction of mirrors. So we then have to assume you put the heater power to the motion switches.

I have schematics I can try to scan (not this moment) and then I have to post them to a website so you can view them or I can just simply email them to you.

What you think?
