Just curious what people use for rollbar tubing. Diameter, thickness, pics. Thanks!

I'm sure I could have found it from past posts, but what happened to the search option on these forums?

I am getting ready to start my cage. I am going to use 2" DOM .134 wall mild steel tube. Same thing the Smittybuilt bar I have in there now is. If you buy an S&W kit I think they are 1 3/4" .134 tube. Might be EW tube and not DOM, FWIW.

w/e you do, make sure you remember you're backing plates on the other side (bottom) - some yuppy just spent $ome bank having his new to him-blazer painted orange (i'll snap a pic next time its not inside) - only to top it off w/ a 1/2 ass weled in stock roll bar, with 4 little nuts on the bolts under the bottom of the fenders where it mounts (the type that mounts on top of the wheel well).... That thing will tear right off god for bit - atleast i'm not fooling my self - i need to get around to installing mine properly hahaha

1 3/4" .120 wall Min for a fullsize, 2" DOM would fit the bill just right. When I build mine, I'll prolly use 1 3/4" .120 wall DOM, because that's the biggest die I have for the bender

Thanks, I think I'll end up using 1 3/4" .120 wall as well since that's the biggest die my friend has for his bender as well. Thanks for the help!!

have you made the bars yet? I heard you may be able to help me with a set of sliders for the rear topper windows? I've heard them referred to as sails. lol
