Do you use your flatbed like ...

... you would use a pickup? There are some really nice flatbeds here on the board. Some factory, some converted motor homes, and some just pickups with the box removed and flatbed added.

I find my K20 with 4 inch lift to be a bit high to comfortably use loading and unloading. Maybe that's my age lol. I'm not positive but it seems like it's about the same floor height as a 2 wheel drive flat bed.

Years ago my mom's husband (both long passed) used to have a 75ish flatbed Chevy dually with a dump bed. I borrowed it a bunch, but thinking back I remember wishing it was a lot lower.

Unloading is not too bad but loading a 4" lifted truck is not fun for me either

Mine are no show trucks so probably not what you’re question really is— but I have two flatbeds that get really used. My 51 gmc is a 1 ton factory dump bed, works great but yes the bed is up on a couple timbers, above where a pickup bed height would be. The other is a 73 1 ton with a 16’ deck and a cab forward setup. It’s lower than the other but pretty easy to overload with all that room..

I don't have a big problem loading and unloading stuff out of my '72 Dually flatbed and as you well know I am not very tall. Mine does not have a hoist and the bed floor is 40" off the ground. I use it for everything.....

Not talking show truck specific. Just wondering if flat bed guy's hop in the old flatbed truck and use it like anyone else would use their pick up with a box.

Leon your truck is one of the nicer ones. But you have a truck for every occasion so I'm sure (ok, just guessing lol) your flatbed gets used for specific duties

I don’t use the ones I have much, but they sure come in handy sometimes

My 73 is a great fruit hauler. 8 bins fit on the deck- but it’s not something I’d daily drive 😎

Like I said it gets used for everything. I drove it 18 miles round trip last Monday to my favorite burger joint, just cause. I love driving it with that 5 speed overdrive tranny..... It really doesn't ride that bad either.
