Clear Bra (3m Scotchgard) Installed on Floor and Truck Bed?

Might be a stupid and crazy idea but has anyone installed a 3m clear scotchgard sheet on their floor or truck bed? Kind of like the 3m clear bra but I can buy rolls of the 3m in different sizes. I do not want to install carpet as the top will be off most of the time and do not want worry about the carpet getting wet. From what I have seen the rubber floor covers do not look very good after installing.

This is going on a 72 blazer but would be used for trucks too.

It could certainly be done. However, don't expect it to hold up to much abuse on the truck floor.
