Any one used a programer on 99+ 4.3 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hi everyone. I am wandering if anyone ever used a programer on a 99+ 4.3l automatic. I have one in one of my vans, yeah I know it is a van but uses same drive train, and thought about getting one to see if it would help it get a little better performance, shifting and milleage. I am not expecting v8 performance just maybe better power use and milleage. Just would like to here fellow members observations and experiances. Thanks in advance.

I ran the Hypertech III programmer on my 2000 5.3l GMC for about 100K miles without issue, your 4.3l should do the same

Honestly, unless you plan to adjust your programming yourself, your money is better spent on a custom tuned PCM from a place like www.wait4meperformance.com (where I have mine) and you will see better results
