Engine sputters only in 4 low

I had my truck out in the snow and when
I had it in 4 low the engine would spit/sputter. The truck didnt actually die at all but the headlights dim and the rpms drop when it happens. In 4 high and 2 high it runs perfect. It idles fine in 4 low but it was a little slow goin in and out. I have a 2000 with the 5.3, I just got the truck so i don't know what tranny or transfer case it has. It has the push button 4wd and its an automatic, whole truck is stock

Re: Engine sputters only in 4 low

Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?
