Looks to be a nice solid original. I'm a fan of the GMC front.

Re: Added this to the driveway today

It's been in my extended family since new until recently acquired in a foreclosure auction. Been stored in a barn since the 80's. Original paint and wheels, original 350 and TH400, A/C.. shows 70,002 on the odometer. Bought new by my aunt's grandfather and been parked since he died. It's got some bumps and bruises and rust in the usual places (rear wheel wells, cab corners, rockers, back section of the floor pan, etc. Unmolested under the hood.

Re: Added this to the driveway today

I went back and read your post of what it is worth and the title issue. I had a chance at a 70 camper special in the 90's with a very similar issue. At that time in Indiana it was going to be a real nightmare to get a title. That was when they were over 20 years newer and Indiana though. Hopefully with the age the BMV lightens up.

It's actually pretty easy if the Vehicle is over 30 years old or has a Fair Market value of less than $3,000. Just a one-page form to fill out in Tennessee.

Funny you'd say that... It has been used for that and the backside bracket put a dent in the grille lol

Nice glad you got it.
I remember reading your post about what it's worth & getting the title stuff.

You got a Solid truck from the looks of it.

I'm really pleased with the condition of the doors and glass, particularly. Unfortunately, the SPID is toast..

My '72 Cheyenne is in paint jail, still... But it'll be a gem when it's done... someday.

You have been on the forum long enough.
You have probably heard of a member chipflyer.
He can print you a SPID.
His web site is (out in the shop .com).
You can look at the list of options on his site and compare it to stuff on your truck and make your own SPID. Just a Thought.
He made a copy of mine. He does good work but he has not been on the site in a few.

Re: Added this to the driveway today

Looks like you found yourself another solid surviving camper hauler. Custom Campers have been my focus, other than SWBs, for decades now. They emerged as a great segment in these trucks to find in excellent original condition. Some never did do more than a chore or two and basically only went out in good weather for a good time.

Chip Flyer is still around and doing great work! He made my SPID 5 or 6 months ago if you decide to do that.
