Question Odd engine stumble during right turns

As title says, my engine stumbles when making right turns. I am not sure why. It does not do this during left hand turns. But I usually have to bip the gas to keep it alive.

Anyone have ideas as to where I need to start looking? Thanks!

Is this carb or Fuel inject? First thing to check would be if the battery is securely bolted down? Then check positive and negative battery cables.

It is carbbed. Battery is secure. Brand new battery cables installed last week. Truck has been doing this before cable replacement. All connections are secure.

I would say float level in he carb. If it is too low when it sloshes to one side it starves it. If it is too high it floods it. Just my guess. Edelbrock carb?

Ya, 1405. Think it needs new floats?

Also, ps pump could be it. As it squeels. The pi left the ad support bracket off, so the whole side was allowed to flop around. I'm thinking of replacing it this weekend.

If the battery and cables are ok, then yes i would also look towards the float(s).

Re: Odd engine stumble during right turns

I read thru the manual for my carb, Edelbrock suggested increasing accel. pump stroke. I tried that and seemed to help some. Still acts like it wants to die.

Tomorrow, I'll be able to tell if the PS pump is the culprit or not. Never swapped 1 before. Looks pretty straight forward.

On a side note, I made a startling discovery about the carb. I found a piece of linkage not attached on the left side of carb. I believe it connects the secondaries (please correct me if I am wrong) to the accelerator. Took it for a quick drive and it seemed to have more power.

The over-all look of the carb leads me to think that it is due for a rebuild anyways. It looks pretty rough. Not exactly an area I have any knowledge in.
