Re: My time... Nothing New. But it's my Build.

Haven't posted in a while...just a friendly reminder, my build is nothing new. 90% of the things I'm doing have been done before and more then like 90% better....I'm just documenting my journey. Updated photos to follow.

Well that begs the question.... where do you work??

I think every gearhead has thoroughly appreciated the first gen Hummer, but man... That thing is light years ahead in so many ways! I can't even begin to guess what kind of coin that beast would set you back!?

So true about the Hummer. The new gen isn't for public distribution. That there belongs to our great Armed Forces...Very nice though.

Hey there Freddie, I like that front suspension cross member and A arm setup. Who produces that one, I don't recognize it.

Your welds hardly look like a beginners work... You must be an excellent learner and also have some nice equipment as well.

That there my friend is a X2 Industries cross member. Stumbled onto their site and couldn't pass up the deal they had at the time.. Noticed price has almost doubled since then but still comparable to other brands. Didnt use the spindles that it came with. Replaced with Wilwood.

As for my welds...its all in the machine. I was frustrated everytime I attempted to weld with my old cheap welder. Plus flux core wire didn't boost my confidence either. Upgraded recently and I'm looking for reason to weld up some thing now.

Very cool dual tanks man. I'll be interested to see how you go about plumbing them and incorporating a switch. Do you plan to have a switch inside the cab?

I have a couple of ideas I've been pondering on. Leaning more towards manual values to prevent accidental opening.

Freddie...I am curious to know how you like those Wilwood drop spindles. I am looking at getting a set of those as well. Seem pretty sweet reading about them. Also what battery box is that?

I've tried different spindles throughout the years. The Wilwood's, in my opinion is the best by far...again, in my opinion. I absolutely love them. I'm running dual batteries, one on each side of the frame. They're Choppin' Block battery boxes.

Re: My time... Nothing New. But it's my Build.

I had another question, what do you plan on for fuel fillers? Two separate doors in the bed floor maybe? I guess no bed floor or perhaps a hinged partial floor door would work also. I'm looking forward to see what you decide.
