How exactly did you shave your firewall? Did you just make a big plate over the whole left side, or did you make filler pieces for each section?

I used one big piece, well actually two pieces with a joint in the center.

i did a full weld all the way around. only weld about an inch ata time to keep heat down. then i did some spot welds in the center to keep it sterdy.

I whipped up this little guy last night. its a jig for new upper control arms. im doing a jig for my lowers tonight. hopefully more pictures to come tonight. maybe some badazz arms soon too!!

its some extra 1.25" tubing I had. does anyone know where i can buy just the cross shaft from? maybe a bushing and shaft combo. google has been no help!

Nice rendering in solidworks, im using that program in college right now. I've got caught in class designing little parts id love to get machined out!

This looks like a fun project. I can't wait to get started on my 81shortbed. Keep up the good work!

i had the same problem in my "Featurecam" class. my teacher made me sit in the front row so he could watch my screen.
