I'm in! Hopefully I will make it to Cruising the Coast this year also. Are you planning on going? If so, let me know.

I'm going to go around Thursday or Friday to cruising the coast, but the truck won't be ready. Going to shoot for the Alabama show next year. I'll keep you updated.

I will admit that I am not a big wheel kind of guy (probably because I'm old lol &#128514 but after seeing what you have accomplished I think I could be persuaded to change my mind. 😁 That is one good looking truck. Awesome job 👍

Finally got the wheels back on and off jack stands soon. Still a lot of details to go, but one day at a time.

Such a VERY NICE truck!
A 71-72 Cheyenne Super is a "bucket list" truck on my WANT List.
And yours is perfect.

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's

What do I think about your 24" wheels?
I think you better be real careful of any pot holes or road irregularities that cause wheel harm. You have virtually no rubber to protect your wheels from impact damage. And I figure that wheels don't come cheap.

What did you have to modified in the rear to make them fit? By sides shorten the rear end..

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's

Converted to disc in the rear and like you said, narrowed the rear end a bunch. The lower you go the more mods you'll need to to. Most likely need to trim the inner bedsides and widen your wheel tubs if you lower it at all. I also have the porterbuilt tubular trailing arms.

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's

A couple of questions if you don't mind RWade....Do you have full stop to stop steering?
What rear end and gear?
What motor and will it spin em on command?
That thing looks amazing brother, well done! ~Ghostrider~

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's

Chris I've been watching yours with your coilover dropmember going in, looks great! Love your truck.

Ironangel - At ride height, I don't think so. With the 1" narrowed control arms and CPP modular spindles there's is about 3" from sidewall to fender. I'm just getting it back together so haven't done it yet. But aired all the way up tires will clear for sure (but it's close). I have the 6.0 ('05 escalade) with the 4L80, truck 12 bolt with 4:10 gear. Yes, it will spin on demand (is that a GM term?!) "SOD" 😂

Thanks, Wade
