Re: Fender Cups

I couldn't find one so I bought a full fender and cut the bottom off to use. I guess driver side fenders don't rot out the way the passenger side does under the battery.

I've never found one either. Post a link if you find one at LMC or anywhere else.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

It makes you wonder why they can make the fenders and the right side cup but not the left. Why they didn't do the mold for the left side is crazy.

Re: Fender Cups

Left side doesn't rot out like the right side (no battery acid to deal with) so the demand for the part isn't there. My left side needed to be replaced only because it was squashed from a previous owner mishap/accident.

This may be a case where premium membership allows you to post a want-to-buy ad, and somebody will probably chop one off of a scrap fender and ship it to you for some reasonable price.

Parts sales are driven by demand!!!

ALL old 67-72 pickups that were not babied or have been garaged for some unusual reason, will have the pass side rotted out, from acid residue leakage.

Re: Fender Cups

I think mine may be able to be patched with a home made piece maybe . Apparently mice made a home in there and their pe E rotted it out ,same as door bottoms and one cab corner . It's amazing what I cleaned out of that cab . But the old farmer set them up with all they needed ,clothes piled in it ,junk and cow feed ,they had the perfect place .

Re: Fender Cups

Flashed I think the one I have is good enough for a lower front cup cut. Here are a couple pics.

I need to see if I can get it cut off pretty easy. The inner fender is rotten so I am hoping I can just cut thru it all with sawzall. It does have a dent as shown in pic. I am guessing $45 shipped as long as I can get it in a large flat rate box

.
