It really does look fantastic! Just think of it this way, the next time you do it, it will only take 1/2 as long.

Yes there very thick and heavy! Definitely a solid piece.

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!

OK made some progress on the drivers side! Didn't take as many pics but still got a few to show the progress. Spent some extra time trimming around the shock and steering shaft on this one but still went a little faster than the pass side.

Man those look great installed! Just my opinion but they look so much better than the trailer type inner fenders that others are using.

Yes I would have to agree I prefer this style as well. They look a little more factory/period correct.

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!

Some more updates on the inner fenders! I managed to get them out and prepped and painted. I put a heavy rubberized undercoating on the insides then a coat of high build black primer over them to hide some of the imperfections and scratch repairs.

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!

Sanded the high build primer and got a coat of matte clear on them. I also put a little trim on the inside of the fender to seal the gaps and give it a clean finish. (bad pic) and she's ready for front end assembly again!

That matte clear finish looks cool. Did you apply it directly to the sanded high build? If so what was the final grit you finished with?

Thanks!
I used 5 star extreme black high build primer/filler. Sanded until all ridges bumps were out with 400 then final 600 before clear. (2 coats matte clear)

I Made a little more progress on the front end assembly the past few days. I managed to get the fenders, cowl, hood on and aligned! Also finished up the grill and headlights hopefully for good!

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!

More progress! Since the truck was up on the hoist I figured it would be a good time to get the front bumper on and give it a rough alighnment. I also cleaned up some of the engine bay and wiring (last pic)

Did the heater kit come with the bulkhead fittings in the firewall? Or did you source those somewhere else?

Great build by the way.

Thanks

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!

I spent the last few days starting on the back half of the truck since the front end is mostly finished. I started getting the wiring roughed in and the air ride up and working. I also modified the battery holders to fit battery's other than optima's
