Exclamation HELP!! low RPMs at Idle after a battery swap.

I had a battery leaking on me. I have swapped it out for another and now when I crank up I Idle so low that it actually cut out on me once. This has never happened to me before. Its worth noting that I discovered the battery leaking when I was changing the Washer fluid Tank on my truck.

It is an 02 Yukon with a 5.3L V8

Any help appreciated

it basically has to go through a relearn process. hold the idle at about 1500 then slowly let it off until it runs by itself

yeah, pretty much a relearn process, the quick way i learned was to cycle it thru D and R every few seconds with the idle hovering around 800, and prolly after 3-4 tries it would learn enough to allow it to drive around the block, in which it would still learn while driving

Re: HELP!! low RPMs at Idle after a battery swap.

Would you have to do this procedure after installing a Hypertech tuning?

Thanks,

Rob
