71 K5 Find

I was looking for a Blazer for my boys and I to build, I came across a 71 CST Blazer 4x4 (Add said it had sat in the garage since 85 and was put in to deep sleep with a blown head gasket) He wanted $2800 as is, which I was still excited bout the price and then next to it was a 1970 Blazer with no motor and a cab full of parts, he wanted $1500 for it. I went there with intentions of getting the 71 for a good deal. I ended up getting both for $1750! What the heck, this kind of stuff doesn't happen to me. More to come.

Re: 71 K5 Find

Hey thanks guys, I'm really excited to get going on these and even more excited to be around fellow Blazer enthusiasts. I'd really like to plan on having one for the mud the 71 which I was able to put on some 35" Coopers today pretty stoked about it, and the 70 I'd like to do it like the ones at the car shows with the big wheels on air and the LS motor??? I have so many questions about that but I know baby steps LOL

Re: 71 K5 Find

Can anybody tell me what this AMS oil? set up is, filter is on top not on the bottom what's up with that? Blazer looks like it had some money into it back in the 90s, tags are from 85.

Re: 71 K5 Find

Came with a soft top too? score! Not a huge fan of the light bars on classics but they sure do put out a $h!t ton of light!

Re: 71 K5 Find

Yes I was quite pleased to find that the soft top is like brand new. I agree the lights don't do much for the classic look, but I've had these sitting around for awhile and couldn't wait to put them on something.
On another note I've noticed you and a couple others are members of a PNW club, I was just wondering what that was all about, when and where do you guys meet up?
