Reinstalling Rear Pinion Gear.. How to..?

Doing a quick cleaning and painting of my rear end housing, new axle bearings and seals but keeping the same bearings on my ring gear and pinion.

Same nut and washer, how do I put the pinion back in properly? What torque? What spinning torque?

I personaly would opt for a new crush sleeve , pinion Nut and bearings , I would think with using your old crush sleeve it would be almost impossable to set the correct Pre load on the bearing ......if you go to tight premature bearing wear will occur quickly ,If to loose same will occur at a slower pace .You will Know quickly as soon as you drive you while Here a Whine or drone noise

You need to replace the crush sleeve and pinion nut at the very least. They are designed for one-time use.
