I wonder if the production company did that so it rides better over the rough terrain but it's strange they did not just use a 60 to 66 Chevy truck

Pictures of vehicle in Hatari.

Here's a Land Rover in front of what appears to be a Ford truck and a TF that's camera shy. If you look closely you can see both the ford and the TF are RH drive.

Re: Hatari truck

only seen this movie a few times a long long time ago....
never noticed the ifs...and flip out winshield...
with the rhd it makes me wonder if that's a overseas thing..
hard to believe back then theyd go to that much trouble to put a AD on a later model chassis

Re: Hatari truck

It's possible being over seas that the chassis was updated but they used older bodies.

Re: Hatari truck

watch the rhino chase when they jump the little hill...you can see the ifs..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NX-UNQK-2vA
good catch on the bed...I was watching the suspension so close I never realized its got a 60s fleetside bed on it..so I guess they did stick a AD cab on a 60s truck chassis
