Something the stock guys won't like, but I wanted something different. I will make it out of aluminum and set it in the stock plastic outer bezel.

Nice set up...Woodgrain looks nice as well, do you have the turn signals included in there somewhere?

I haven't drilled for the turn signals, high beam or switch LEDs. I'll do that when I make the good panel out of aluminum.

Looks cool. Where are the headlight and wiper switch mounting locations? I'm thinking of doing mine non-stock as well, but I'll put in a speedometer that only goes to 80 MPH. No point in going faster than that, especially pulling a trailer.

Headlight and wiper switches are two of the four toggles mounted below the tach.

A different arrangement is one way of avoiding eye fatigue. But have you tried reading it at night with the wheel in place? Are you sure you're not hiding or obstructing any gauges or indicators?

If you want extra credit align the gauges so all the needles point UP when everything is in the OK range, then you can tell at a glance if anything needs your attention!

..another cool thing would be to include some sort of center aperture/cut-out for something like a back up camera screen, dash cam or something like your smart phone/device, etc. Something that would be considered a little unusual or advanced for an older truck....but with a very modern swing to it.
If you don't have anything chosen yet it could be 'sized' to correspond with a nice GM logo or equivalent until a device was found and chosen.
....just thinking out loud here.....'spit balling' so to speak.

Thanks for the ideas guys. Until I can get it started (soon) it's just a mock up. I need to start it and set the cab to see what the cluster looks like behind the steering wheel.
