do-it-yourself air ride??

who has done this and who's got info on what i need... i just can't make myself spend $2k on a setup... i know it can be done for cheaper... i'm not gonna show off, don't need a high capacity tank or compressor... i just want to get a good ride height and be able to tow stuff if i want to.

thanks.

Re: do-it-yourself air ride??

I bought a basic, 3 gallon, manual valve kit that has every part and piece for air control for less than $600 from AVS the board vendor. That's without bags. Add bags and cups for your truck and you're still under $1K.

Re: do-it-yourself air ride??

I would highly suggest shopping on craigslist. I picked up 4 airlift bags, 8 valves, 8gl tank, front bag plates and cups, fittings, airline, and bushings for a 4 link for $500. Everything was brand new and still in the wrapping.
