Removing 6 cylinder bellhousing

Any good ideas, tips or advice on removing the manual transmission bellhousing from a 6 cylinder that is stuck? Or is it even possible? I'm starting to think not...

Is this is a 235 or a 230/250/292? Big difference.

Make sure you have all the bolts out and then wiggle and pry.

You can't get all the bolts out because some are in back of the flywheel. You can't get the flywheel out because you can't get to all the clutch bolts without turning the engine. If you are going to junk the engine I've seen where guys have pulled the oil pan & cut the crank in front of the rear main brg.

Re: Removing 6 cylinder bellhousing

I went through this on my buddy's 235. I removed the trans, removed the flywheel, and didn't bother taking the bellhousing off.

There are two bellhousing bolts that are under the flywheel, that's why you can't remove it, you still have two bolts in.
