Wheel well liners
Was there ever a wheel well liner on Silverado models behind the rear wheel on the bed? Just wondering as it looks like something should be back there

My 77 K10 short bed came with them.

My 75 LWB has them. The rear piece is basically a flat piece of metal attached by two bolts to the top liner and one to the outer fender. One of the two holes in your pics.
Looks like it would be fairly easy to make one. |

Thanks all. I, like 3drburb, am thinking of making something as well. Just wanted to see if there was an original piece first.
I have thought of using something like the flexible stuff that goes over the front A arms to make some finish panels. I once had a bulk roll of the stuff but can't for the life of me remember where I bought it. If anyone has some pics of an original piece, please post.

As you can see there is a small offset bend along the top edge and a couple of stiffening ribs stamped into the middle. We didn't have a bead roller to duplicate those ribs so we just left the center flat. The top 2 holes have nuts welded onto them for easier installation but that's not absolutely necessary since you can reach them with a wrench. |

Only thing I can add at this point is the bottom edges on mine have a small rounded bend to the back and the fenders have a welded nut as well for the third bolt.
We are up to 3 inches of rain in some places this morning. Hasn't been good pic taking weather. Not complaining, we need the rain. |

These came on the early trucks only. It seems like GM quit using these when they went to the fuel door beds in 79.
