1970 SB/FS Shop Truck

Well I sold off my 1969 Orange SB/FS for an offer I couldn't refuse and soon began to miss it. So, I picked this guy up. It's a 1970 that had most of the hard work done. I have started tweaking it to better suit my style.

I cleaned up the engine with all finned stuff and new wire looms.
Installed Black Hawk helo seat belts.
hidden radio in glove box and speakers under seat.
New 66 Chevelle steering wheel on the way.
Also looking to widen the rear wheels.
Going to respray Satin Black and get ridof the door art.

Re: 1970 SB/FS Shop Truck

Thanks guys. Seat belts are from my personal stash. Maybe try Army Surplus stores. I believe wheels and caps are from a 73 C10. I may be wrong though. Heres another pic of some clean up work I did on the radio and heat controls.

I love the bed floor. What did you do under that spray on liner?

Re: 1970 SB/FS Shop Truck

The bed floor is a piece of metal about 1/8th inch thick steel cut out on a laser cutter. Fits perfect. Looks great. The seat belts are from my own stash. The new Black Hawks don't use these style belts anymore so, check out surplus stores as I bet they will start showing up.

I had a typo earlier. The caps are from a 63 C10.

Looks great. Where is the brake booster from? It looks nice and compact. Do you have a picture of the other side of it?

Your truck looks great! I like the original interior. I have the same pattern seat cover in my 69 too.

Some more updates. New steering wheel, hidden radio and speakers. Only one hole drilled and that was threw the glove box liner.

Re: 1970 SB/FS Shop Truck

Is the Chevelle steering wheel a repop, or an original?
It looks right at home on there.
