How low can I go.
I have a 1994 GMC short bed step side which currently has 15X8 rally wheels and 255/70/15 tires . I am wanting to lower it for a better looking stance . How low is everyone going with this tire and wheel combination

Re: How low can I go.
Fairly tall tire at 29", but for the front I would imagine 2-3" would be the lowest without serious steering limits. Back you could probably go whatever you want. I would go with 2-2.5 spindles and a flip on the rear (2.5/6 drop I believe that would give you.

Re: How low can I go.
I can't imagine there are very many people running that tire size to begin with let alone lowering trucks using that size so your opinion pool is going to be limited.

Re: How low can I go.
I run those tires on my 2wd Yukon. Stock front and stock rear height at the moment for towing, but I do have 2" drop shackles for the rear that I used without issue. I removed the rear drop because it was too low with the boat attached. Any lower on either and it'll rub if you hit a bump on a turn.
You need a narrower tire up front like a 235 or 215 and smaller diameter to drop it further.

Re: How low can I go.
If you went with 255/60x15, you could do probably a 3/4 front and a 6 (flip) rear. And they fit those wheels very well. The 235/70 is shorter in height that what you have, but an 8" wide rimis pushing the width limit, IMO.

Re: How low can I go.
I ran 255/60/15"s front with 275/60/15's on both my 78 and 79 with 5" front drop and 5 to 6" rear drop no problemo.
