I replaced the 3 pieces that go over the tailgate release with the one-piece lower trim since I relocated the release handle to the inside. I thought the 3 piece trim wouldn't look right without the handle in the middle, since it arches up over the release handle.

I followed instructions (found on this forum) on how to use the Mar-K release kit and keep the indented tailgate so it looks original.

I thought I was being clever. And, if you're looking for the trim, guess it worked?? It looks right. Still a little tall on the driver side, but I'm having too much fun driving it right now to do any more trimming. Will work on it more this fall....

Thanks!!

Well, I replied but it didn't post.... I used it in place of the upper trim since I relocated the tailgate release.

Looks pretty close to correct. Still trimming slowly, but am having too much fun driving it this summer. Will try to get it a little tighter this fall.

Thanks!

(Great, now it posts and I look like an idiot.... :-)

Mar-K has the correct shape upper trim in one piece instead of three. It goes across the tailgate above the indented area. It works if you have eliminated the handle or moved it to the inside of the tailgate.
