Air Ride - which track bar/panhard bar

Good afternoon everyone. So I am in the process of installing all of my air ride and need to order my track bar. I was hoping to find one at the local swap meet this past weekend but didn't have any luck.

For everyone on air I've read that the longer the better so I was looking at the Classic Performance Trac Bars CP32021 or Classic Performance Trac Bars 6572DTBK. I was set on buying one of these but read some reviews that it doesn't work with air ride.

Any suggestions here would be great because I'm going to order it today.

EDIT: Truck is a 1965 SWB

I haven't gotten to it yet, but I plan to use the Dead End Garage panhard bar.

It should work well with air ride, I believe Travis from AZ Pro Performance is using the same setup on his Suburban. You can give them a call to verify.

Porterbuilt also has a standalone trac-bar.

The DeadEnd Garage one looks good as well. The one thing I really like about DeadEnd's setup is it looks like you can get their c-notch with the upper trac-bar mount and upper bag mounts built-in.

ECE Super Track Bar is a good choice.

This is what I used, but I fabricated and welded a bracket to the back of my passenger side trailing arm. This was long before CPP, POL, and others offered that type of track bar mount option.

Re: Air Ride - which track bar/panhard bar

Thanks everyone it looks like what most of everyone is using aside from the Porterbuilt looks much like the CPP piece. So I'm going to go with the CPP one since everything else is CPP at this point.

Thanks again!

Make sure you buy from a company like Summit Racing for your CPP parts.
There are lots of horror stories from buying directly from CPP.

Yep! I had mine thru Tuckers here in LV and none were the right length as advertise... someone couldn't read a tape. Finley the just ordered a long bar and cut and welded it.
When an adjustable is 32 " and is sent 28"???

Thanks again for the heads up. I ordered it through Summit Racing along with a CPP front sway bar.

I set ride at 3" on shocks so effectively 6" stroke. The movement is less than stock. The stock 62 bar is just in front of the crossmember and all the way out by trailing arm, enough to contact frame I know the 63-72 were short and my rear is a 72 with built in mount. This would move more in an arc.
I would say at a 4ft bar it moves 1/16 to 1/8 inches. Need sway bar to help side load and roll center.
You want the bar as long as possible and parallel to the ground.

Re: Air Ride - which track bar/panhard bar

What shocks are you guys running with air ride in the front? I did a relocation kit in the rear. I have a 3 on the tree so the relocation kits aren’t friendly for the front. So I’m just going to run a shorter shock. I read the Monroe 33033 will work but the compressed length is no shorter then my currents.

Any suggestions?

So you are using a relocation kit with a KYB Shock? Do you have the KYB part number by chance?

Re: Air Ride - which track bar/panhard bar

Not sure of # but you need to measure and use the one that works. Ride, down, up height. Stem or eye, its your set up. I usually roll with 3" of shock at ride height. 6" total.
