Question Whats colors were dash bezels available?

I was in the junkyard scrounging for parts yesterday and came across an interesting bezel. It was for a gauge dash and the color was a darkish grey or olive. I scratched the bottom and it was definitely molded this color. If it was a factory replacement, it has been there a long time.Anybody seen these before?

The ones that are painted to match the interior is a GMC thing.
The one you saw was probably a GMC or one that had been moved to a Chevrolet.
I have seen them painted from the factory green brown and various other colors with a glove box to match on some.
Chevrolet had a different scheme for the glove box in 67 it resembled the dash bezel with a mat black finish that was surrounded with the chrome around the edges.
As for replacements there were just too many combinations for vendors to stock.
I think that if you were to go with the original look other than black or wood grain that you would have to paint it yourself.

As always anyone with more info on this subject feel free add to this or to correct me in my line of thought

Thanks for the quick replies. I do believe it was a grey gmc. I just assumed they were all black.

I`ve seen replacemnts to match the grey trimmed rater than chrome trimmed. They wer.e still black w/texture.I believe these are from base-modle Chevys&GMCs in`67&`68.The GMCs would be painted interior color, instead of black.Like the pre-67s,that fawn color or dk grey were used on base interiors, even on painted areas

My GMC Bezel is dark green w/worn chrome edge, and I agree with Hutch since I have not seen any repo. bezels offered in anything but black w/chrome edge or full chrome. Be careful with the repo's tho 'cause some only have silver painted edges as opposed to chrome.
I don't mean steal your thread mblackburnjr, but I gotta ask...
Did the original instrument bezels have chrome edge or painted silver or both?

Cethern, It looks like you might want to get a new steering wheel as well. It looks like you could possibly get injured from that thing. Just jokin'.

Cethern, where did you get the new Lecarra wheel from? What does it look like? I have been considering buying a new Grant. Does Lecarra have a website? Thanks!!

I got my LeCarra from a buddy it's just a basic wheel, You can find them at summit and other places and I believe if you Google LeCarra you will find a web site. They do have some very nice wheels.
