Hi guys I got hit by an 07 gmc 2500 yesterday. He hit me from behind I was stopped and he was running around 60. I love this truck and hate to see her tore up but thought I would show the difference between old and new steel. This old girl saved me and my boys life. Not sure what would have happened if we were in our newer car. Now for your help. Wanting the best places to buy sheet metal to price parts so the insurance doesn't rip me off too bad. Don't want cheap thin stuff. Thanks for the help.

Glad your Blazer isn't more damaged. Luckily, the GMC delivered a glancing blow.

My Jimmy was hit by a Lincoln at about 25 mph, and it cratered the passengers side. You certainly were not impacted at 60mph...

And I have another project Blazer that got hit when a car ran a stop sign at about 30 mph. It pushed the frame rails almost 18" out of alignment! The drivers side bent in so far it broke the exhaust manifold.

Once again, glad you and your truck are OK in the big picture. And be thankful his bumper went low!

Glad that the child and you are ok. Too bad about the Blazer but it will fix. You can get most of your parts right here on the parts board.

You should buy the wrecked gmc and transplant the motor. Like a CARnivore would devour its prey!

Glad everyone is safe, sorry about the damage. Lots of good vendors on the forums, stay away from LMC for any body panels as they don't line up well in my opinion from previous experience.

Good luck with the insurance company as they usually come in way under perceived value for these trucks.
