RE: Door rubbers 1970 chevy c-10

Hello Group,
I just purchased a 1970 Chevy C-10 and am now in the process of putting it together. I have found most of the items I need except the rubber that goes around the doors. I have tried LMC, Year One and neither of them carry the rubbers. Can someone suggest a place where I can order the rubbers?? Advice or suggestions appreciated.....

Truck shop in Orange carries them I believe. Have never used them, so don't know how the fit is.

Best fitting ones I have found are dodge Dakota 86-96 out of a junkyard. Dirt cheap, clip on, no glue or mess, not too tight that you have to slam the door shut.

Re: Door rubbers 1970 chevy c-10

GMC Paul's carries Precision rubber.

My question is, on the door opening weather strip, do people use the more expensive 'press-on' type or the cheaper glue on? What's better?

I just picked up a set and they are really nice. The press on ones from GMCPauls are nice, but I could never get my doors adjusted where I didn't have to slam the door to get it to close. May have been operator error or 2 new doors on a 45 year old truck. Either way, the Dakota ones did the trick for me.

Re: Door rubbers 1970 chevy c-10

Thank you all for the advice and suggestions. I ordered from GMC Pauls. I'm just starting to put this truck together and one step at a time. Next I'm gonna want to add sound proofing and heat resister for the cab. I've already seen a thread here with suggestions. I'm gonna like this group. Thanks for the welcome
