Re: My first project... 1968 GMC lwb fleetside

After a short hiatus I'm back at it. I finally started wiring the engine to where I wanted it. The PCM bracket was laser cut and I welded it to the brake assembly, then the bracket above holds the TAC and the VHX box for a nice set of Dakota digitals. Every wire is getting cut to fit in there trying to make it look as clean and orderly as I can. Also fabbed a hydroboost bracket and mounted it to the firewall, my brother helped laying down the sound deadner as well. Slowly but surely it's moving along

Engine wiring is all done and I'm happy with the way it turned out. You really have to look to see them on the engine. The radiator is fully mounted and ready for a shroud and a couple fans. The project finally seems like it's moving along.

Re: My first project... 1968 GMC lwb fleetside

I was wondering about your painter and body work shop, and what your thoughts about their work and such? Would you use him again?

I am ready to find a shop but am having difficulty in finding one willing to take on my project. I really underestimated on how many shops that are not willing to do old trucks in our area, I want a daily driver and 90 percent of metal work is done. I just need the body work done and painted to as good as factory did it not a show truck. any help would be great.
