Re: 66 327 carbs .....

My truck came originally with that set up. Unfortunately it is long gone. But i believe it was a Rochester WCFB 4bl. The air breather on my truck was an oil bath type. It's still with the truck. Hope this helps.

I would adv. getting a 66 shop manual then all you would have to is to turn to the right page and it is right there. 4gc. 7025125 unless it as ca spec. then it would be 7036125

Re: 66 327 carbs .....

I'm not sure of the correct designation, but I'd say it may be a Rochester Four jet. That is what came on the 300hp 327's in the '65 & '66 Impala's

I don't know about the 65-66 300hp but I do remember that a 64 300hp took an AFB

I've got a '66 327 in my '64. It has a 2bbl Rochester 2GC.

Re: 66 327 carbs .....

66 327 trucks got a rochester 4 jet with a manual choke, but not all the 4 jets were made by rochester, evidently carter made some of the rochester 4 jets back in the day, straight from dads mouth, and hes been around hundreds of these 327s. I can get pics of our 66 if you wish to see the carb/air cleaner.

Re: 66 327 carbs .....

my shop manual matches what Walt is saying - only carbs listed in my 66 supplement shop manual are as follows:

Roch B (for 250 and 292 with A.I.R. sys)
Roch 2G (for 366 and 283 with A.I.R. sys)
Roch 4G (for 327 with A.I.R. sys) - says the 4G was a mid-65 release.
Carter YF (for L6 engines)

Re: 66 327 carbs .....

Hello Walt ! Thank you for responding to My question. Iwould really like to see a couple of pictures of the air cleaner assembly if you dont mind sharing them.I honestly have no idea what they look like for that year. I am working on this truck for My brother who is a disabled veteran. My car that I am working on is entirely different than what I am doing for him lol. Anyway .. would love to see some air cleaner pics please! And thank you VERY much !
