Lowered 86 C10 Question

I recently bought a 1986 SWB C10 pickup that was lowered by the previous owner. It is currently running 15" wheels with 295/50/R15 wheels all the way around. I am looking at the Torque Thrust II's and am considering 17"-20" wheels. The problem i'm encountering is What drop does my pickup have and what is the biggest wheels I can purchase that will fit good? I would definitely love to put the 20" TT2's on my Chevy but if I cant then ill settle for the 17's.

*****from the ground the the top on the fender is 27.75" front and back*****

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Re: Lowered 86 C10 Question

I had an 85 that was static dropped 5/7 still fit 20's with out issue. I stuck 22's on it for fitment, but the width was a bigger issue then the height. It all comes down to the width of the rim and the tire size.
Figuring out your actual drop......
Are the front springs factory or aftermaket? Aftermarket will have a part number to cross reference for the drop.
Same with front spindles
If the front springs are factory ones someone has cut or heated...that is another issue.

The rear...
Is the axle flipped on top of the springs??
Are there any blocks or shackles other than factory??

You can find pleant of stock height trucks of this era, I would find one and measure the height difference between yours and the stock one.

But you should have no problem fitting 20's under your truck. I have seen trucks with bigger than 5/7 drop sitting on 20's.

Good luck
