Excellent choice of wheels on that truck.

I'm interested to find out what the kit consists of. I had talked to Bret a couple months ago. I'm gearing more toward autocross suspension, and he said this will be more toward backroads cruising status.

That is a great description, the StreetGrip will provide a great ride quality and will handle far superior to stock but if you are gearing up for autocross and want to get competitive than I would do the coilover kit.

[B]DRIVERS REPORT[B]
Last thursday I was at Southern Kentucky Classics when George from RideTech pulled into the lot in the Street Grip C10. After a quick hello we went outside to check it out. The truck sat nice and has a good look. I complimented George on the clean install of the No Limit fuel tank (as I would). George asked if I wanted to drive it. Are you kidding? Sure I do.
I have a LOT of miles on the J.T., and I consider that to be solid driver with pretty good manners, I use that as a base to compare all OE suspension based C10's to. The J.T. is my measuring stick, so to speak. It's a standard that should be achieved by a competent builder with quality parts. It's a good place to start.
So, George handed me the keys and Tina and I jumped in the C10. As I would expect from any RideTech house car, the C10 was clean, the seats fit nice, the doors shut smooth and there were no rattles to be found. These details can have a huge impact on how you 'feel' about the driving experience, and for a suspension analysis, you need to keep these separate.
Pulling out of the driveway, we both immediately noticed how smooth the truck felt. The Street Grip C10 has the OE steering box, which to me, leaves a bit to be desired, but it was fairly tight, and the steering feel was typical C10. Driving down the twisty Kentucky back roads we found the C10 to be VERY smooth, well mannered and predictable. Both hard acceleration and hard braking were nice and controlled. I will make the guess that the new cross shafts help out the caster a bit (just a guess, Chase?) as the general turn in is better than the average C10. Handling is improved, not to the level of the J.T., but some of that is due to the center of gravity height (ride height) and I am keeping in mind that this is all bolt-in. No raised rail, no raised bed floor, no cut and raised crossmember. Also, there are no big upgrades on this C10. No 13" or 14" brakes, no super sticky tires, no big H.P. injected motor (carb 350). Just a solid base short bed. So, was i impressed? Very much so. All of the parts in the kit add up to make the package, but I am most impressed with the variable rate coils and the matching shock valving.
Is this kit for you? Well, the question may be "Are you for this kit?" If you want this stance, and are looking for a bolt on upgrade to the OE chassis and suspension, then, in my opinion, this is your BEST choice. We will be recommending this package to our customers who are looking for this type of upgrade. George then told me that the components of the kit will be available separately, so the customer can add then a step at a time. Now, I don't recommend mixing and matching some of this kit with some other parts, I think the RideTech guys did their homework on this one. That said, I do think think that our Rack and Pinion upgrade, and maybe our rear shock relocator kit with a longer version of the RideTech rear shock would make this set up even sweeter.
Bottom line, it's a winner. This package is well thought out, it's a good value, it fits, and it delivers everything it says it will. Kudos to those Indiana boys on a job well done.

Gumby, the green shop truck, has Centerline Sundance Series-Boulevard wheels. The fronts are 18x8 and the rears are 18x9.5. We are running 245/40/18 for the front tires and 275/45/18 on the rear.
