core support mounting question

I was wondering if someone could tell me how the new rubber mounts are setup under the radiator. When I took my truck apart, everything just kind of fell apart. I bought a body/radiator support kit. Can someone snap a pic of theirs for me?

Thanks.

Keith, not 100% sure but I think their molded rubber that sits in a small hole. Are you ready to race yet? Already started at KV on Rt 35.

I'm trying to figure out if there are just 2 pieces, or 4 that somehow go together with a metal insert. I haven't had my car out yet. I actually have it For Sale. I have been wanting a '57 Chevy for awhile, and finally decided to sell the drag car and get one.

Just had mine out . They are one piece rubber on each side that should fit into a hole on the crossmember under the rad and lines up with the ridge on each side of the rad that is about 4" in. The top mounts are the same except they sit inside of a metal bracket that bolts to the top of the crossmember, fan shrould attaches to end of the metal brackets. Hope this makes sense, dont have any pictures on me.

Is one of the mounts flat, and the other cone shaped?

like chip said, the lower rubber mounts sit in u shaped saddles that line up and conform to the ridge on the radiator tank, just like the top ones do, except they are riveted to the core support, at least mine were...

As I recall, I parted out a pair of extra top mounts for their saddles and cushions and put em on the bottom when I last had the radiator out...

I could help with a pic if you had '67 or '68 but it looks like yours is a '69. Here's the '67 - '68 pic.

Here's what I am running in to. Is there a rubber mount that goes between the core support, and the frame. It seems like if I put a mount between them, it raises up the core support, which throws off the crack between the door and fender. Even if I set the mount on the frame, the crack is still off. I have adjusted the door as much as I can, if I go any farther, the body line doesn't match up. I'm gonna try the OEM fender tonight.. Maybe the repo fender I got just is screwed up.. Who knows.. But, back to the original question, what type of mount goes between the core support, and the frame?
