Question I Need Water Pump Torque Values?

I'm in need of the 6ea mount bolts and the idle pulley nuts on an all aluminum 5.3L block RPO LO8 2010 Colorado.

Re: I Need Water Pump Torque Values?

For the water pump: First pass is 11 ft/lbs. Second pass is 22 ft/lbs.

The 3 bolts for the belt tensioner should be 37 ft/lbs.

Title says torque values?

If you need the bolds, get them at the dealer, hardware store bolts look out of place.

Thumbs up Re: I Need Water Pump Torque Values?

Thanks 95 S Trucker that's what I was looking for.

In the aviation profession a fastener Torque is known as or referred to as a Value not a Spec.

Are the water pump mount bolts on the LS engines known for going bad?

I've had this truck 4 yr's and it's the original pump and this is the first thing that I've had to replace on it other than plugs n wires.

I don't know if the hardware is good or bad as I am still driving it I plan to do the water pump this weekend. It's leaking out the weep hole after only 267.000 miles.

Re: I Need Water Pump Torque Values?

Youre first sentence says you are in need of 6 bolts and nuts for the idler. It was a little unclear on this side of the screen.

The bolts don't go bad.

Yeah I can see how that looks like I'm looking for the hardware sorry for the confusion.

Thank you both for this info.
