Suspension question

Has anyone taken a trailing arm suspension from a 67-72 and put on a 73-87? I'm interested in doing this on my 85, just wondering if it would be a (semi) direct swap.

Re: Suspension question

Yes it can be done. No it is not a direct swap. Keep in mind that the back half of the 61-70 frame is different. It was designed to accommodate the trailing arm suspension with coil springs so it has a complete different shape than the 73-87.

There are a few companies that offer an aftermarket kit to do the conversion. You may look in to that sa an option.
