cowl weatherstrip?

does this weatherstrip go on top or under the cowl? mine was missing.

I put mine on the top. I spaces the cowl out too much if you put it under.

I put the cowl seal beneath the cowl itself on my 72 c-10. I also checked the set on my 71 nova and it is under as well. Did not notice anything that did not line up or set the cowl to high. All panel joints are flush fitting. Good Luck, Gary
