Re: project chevy pickup-69 in sweden...

The engine..
v8 350....
will it start ever again?

The story:
purchased unseen on swedish ebay(blocket.se)

Pocket home using a buddy.
The time is over when you go country o kingdom around to check on cars!

Make a call and drinking a cup of tea instead.
Just waiting to be trailered home to me!

Chevy engine 350
tranny TH350
eight bolted
2wd
8fotare
last time i was on the road was in -84

there are repairs here and there, it seems like some time been productive and started to weld up cab
torpedo, thresholds etc., but get tired. :?
the doors are cut as well as the cab corners!
Missing parts .....

The worst is all filler (bondo???) ... Someone has gone and bought up the entire stock of PP100 ...

wooden base of the bed is rutten ..... did not even have to use tools ....

The frame is painted and nice, feels good ...

going to fix her up and use as a daily driver summertime!

Re: project chevy pickup-69 in sweden...

It was sold new in sweden in 1969.
i think based on the paint job thats was for the telephone company in sweden.
but im not sure,or maybe the orange paint looks like the telephone company orange!

i do know that it came with a manuell tranny and most likely not with a v8..

The engineblock has no cracks.
Dirty, ugly, but maybe there is a chanse it will live again.

Ordeded a box with gaskets, fuelpump etc..

The engine was picked down and everthing i took apart was cleaned och painted.

The carburerter was put on a shelf, i had a better one.

Looks like you are making good progress. Taken as a whole they seem like a huge undertaking. Correcting or replacing one wire at a time (or part) it is more doable. Just keep moving in the right direction.

Re: project chevy pickup-69 in sweden...

Around and around the engine goes, but it wont start.

There is fuel...
The sparks are good.
But it back fires from the carburetor...
tried to reset the distributor, but nope...
ignition cables are correct...
But nope...

Still wont start.....
I hate chevy trucks right now....

Time for a pizza and some thinking....
