Swapping newer front suspension into 65??

I was told a 73-87 front crossmember/suspension is a good swap into a 65ish truck to get improved ride and ps and disc brakes. I did a quick search but couldn't find the info. Can someone direct me to a good thread showing this install? Pros? Cons? Does it change ride height?

Re: Swapping newer front suspension into 65??

Look in the FAQ section and it is covered very well. It will not change the ride height. The FAQ section has loads of info on these trucks and is well worth a look through.
Welcome to the forum.

If you want to lower your truck, you can skip the '73-'87 suspension swap and just buy dropped spindles and springs for a '63-'70 truck. I like the '73-'87 suspensions for some of it's upgrades, but most here are more concerned with ride height.
