Re: Just picked up this 1966 Suburban

I have been working on getting the burbs rear end down. Installed c-notch, adjustable track bar, shock relocators, KYB shocks, and working on getting the Accuair Elevel installed.

Working on installing the ride height sensors now.

Thanks low buck. That is actually full drop. Wish it would ride that low, but would have to full inner fenders and big notch.

Small 2.5" bolt with a 3/4" long coupling used as a stand off with a lock not on back. Seams very solid.

Re: Just picked up this 1966 Suburban

Had an issue pop up when i backed it out the steering box started leaking around the end.
I am unsure if this is a 1966 or 1985 box?
The front rack is off of a 1985 c10, so i am unsure about the steering box.

It has 85 stamped into the end. Not sure if this means 1985 or something else.

Re: Just picked up this 1966 Suburban

I don't think they had a power steering "Box" in '66, it was a steering assist ram. See if the fittings are metric, and if they are, go ahead and use an '85 box.
