Header & Duel Exhaust question?

What’s the best header exhaust combination for 87 350 5.7 liter.

Not looking for the loudest just best all round sounding.

THX in advance.

That's subjective. Your gonna get a million different answers.

Re: Header & Duel Exhaust question?

Hedman headers seem to fit about the best and they make some heavy duty headers. Summit/Jegs has the best price on dual exhaust kits. Mufflers are personal preference.

Re: Header & Duel Exhaust question?

I just put the Dynomax dual exhaust kit on my 87. It was the cheapest thing out there and would bolt to manifolds.
It also had Dynomax long tubeheaders on it before I installed the kit and took them off and put the manifolds back on because the headers hung to low and drug all the time.
The exhaust kit still hung too low where it goes under the cross member and still drug.
The truck is lowered with a rear flip kit and spindles and springs in the front.
If I were to do it again, I would put mid-length headers on and have a shop bend up the pipes to keep them up tight.
