Re: Were the 67-72 Chevy pickups ever offered with 5 slot rally wheels?
5 slot rallyes never came on any truck ever. First we referred to them as rallye wheels, then as car rallyes once trucks got their own styled wheels. So then we went with calling them car or truck rallyes. Funny, Chevy offered another car rallye for Camaro, Chevelle, and Nova and I've never known what to call those other than "Not the ones that came on Vettes". Once those came out the rallyes were referred to as Vette rallyes. I never cared for those and I guess I'm not alone because I hardly see them, never hear talk of them, and they never got their own name by the general pop.
GM offered no optional styled wheels on trucks until the mid-70s. Wheels were once a standardized thing for vehicle, just came in various sizes for various purposes. On the 67-72 light trucks GM the only wheel options were tire options. You got a different size wheel to accommodate the tire you opted for. The only "cooler" optional wheels were the 16.5 x 8.25s. And even on K/5-K/10 that's what you got when ordering 10.00 flotation tires, in 6-lug.
