Missfire!!!
What would cause a missfire from idle to 2k rpms? anything above that and it runs great. motor is a 4.3 liter v6 in a 1998 s10.

My 98 zr2 was doing the same thing. Turned out to be the distributor was worn out..

Something in the distributor..I think I remember it being the drive gear.its been about 4-5 years and my rememberer dont work like it used to..about 90 bucks for a reman..I do remember swapping out a lot of parts based on what everybody told me it was..fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs, wires cap, rotor, spider injectors..lots of $ spent trying go fix it..swapped dist and wallla..miss was gone..next on the list was going go be the timing chain was loose. Has well over 200k on it..

Is a scope useful on electronic ignition? I know with no points you won't have that part of a pattern, will you see cross firing or a fouled plug etc?

Fixed it!!!! cap and rotor were junk. the 1998 cap and rotor were on it. it runs WAY smoother. and NO MISSFIRE ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
