i am trying to decide on color of my 72 Cheyenne, and "wheatland yellow" white two tone is in the running. but i have never seen a 519 wheatland truck, ?

I am not sure if mines a 519 yellow, can't find a paint code anywhere. Here's a couple of pics anyway..

Mine's a 72, but a repaint, originally ocre. Paint code on the Nason paint label says 3421 IN & 312. Close?

That’s a very rare color as you know.
I’ve looked for a super in that one for years
Never even seen one

The truck has been repainted but the original color under the hood with the factory markings is essentially the same color just not quite as bright from age so I think this is pretty close to original color.

wow, that's awesome! after all my years in chevy trucks I have never seen one in that color, looks awesome. can you tell me the color code you repainted it with?

Sorry Dave

It had been repainted when I bought it so don't know. Most of the cosmetic restoration had been done. I am going through the mechanicals and fixing all of that at the present and going to clean up under hood. Most of this truck is original so probably didn't have to have much resto. It was a one owner truck and the original owner died and his son sold it. I can tell you he smoked cigars though. LOL Still smell them from the vents.

Not sure what the big mystery is.

They are out there in every trim level and Two-Tone combination.

519 Dark Yellow solid
549 Conventional Two-Tone (white roof)
581 Special Two-Tone (white roof and rockers/below lower bodyside molding) Surburbans, not offered on 71-72 pickups.
480 Deluxe Two-Tone (white roof and bodyside between upper and lower moldings)

Several documented Highlanders too, even know of a 549 with avacodo plaid and a couple of480 with orange plaid.

Its my favorite color on these trucks, most of the time, preferably soild paint. You don't see it often and some years it was a fleet color. Often found under a color change, but I am always looking for it! ;-)
