I did sleep in the back of the 91 last year on our validation run prior to the desert trip. Other than unloading the majority of gear I brought with me so I had enough room to stretch out, it was more comfy than sleeping in a tent on the ground. But the idea don't work when I'm out for more than a night or have a passenger. The entire truck needs to be unloaded to allow for space to sleep. I'll have safe heat in the camper, standing room and a soft bed. It should be awesome.

grrrr...i hate this new computer....
 me and the boy "un-wrapped" the camper today. lost my storage so we built a frame over it, some plywood over the top, double tarped it and what not. worked cause it came thru our winter sitting outside with shining colors. we will need it in a couple weeks but until then....been stuck inside the house off work for 2 weeks with pneumonia, going bat poop stir crazy, and our spring finally arrived today, said the hay with it, grabbed my 85 yr old dawg (human yrs...) and headed for Mt McGuire. stopped at my bosses house, he has this nice little '68 shorty with a 406 sb, soon to be going LS heading up the valley, there's McGuire there by Slesse just an awesome day to be up the valley.. |

turn off to McGuire
road was just wet and a little mucky, no challenge for the crew, lots of hi-water with snow run-off, had to drive thru a couple creeks stopped for dawg at one of the creeks we drove thru |

one of the creeks we drove thru, again not anything, was barely hub deep, or dawg shoulder deep....
 and the trail to McGuire. i have no probs with guns...but c'mon, really? like i said, run off is coming up, this snow creek cut the trail, had to work our way over it. another nameless run-off creek we need to get over as well |

old dawg (12 and a bit..) has to break quite a bit now....his back legs are starting to go. not like i minded anyways, wit this frikkin' pneumonia it's like trying to breath thru a straw, i could only go so far for i had to stop....my wife called me an idiot for going out....bah, what do women know...
 nice little swamp area for dawg to drink up... or should i say swim up... thank jebus, an easy part of the trail.....only one...catch our breath... |

unfortunately this swamp was as far as we could go. well as far as i could go, dawg was quite content swimming thru it, but i ain't swimming today, 'specially with this sickness, could'nt find a way around, hi run-off thing again...
we did take a run into Slesse on the way down... and a poser in front of Slesse... one more stop at the river for dawg |

'bout a 25 mph current, Diesel, don't go to far out... old fart listens real good....not another run off creek, water is mighty cold, clean, and tastes great... |

took the kids new quad out yesterday....fills up the trailer quite a bit more than his old Polaris...
went up the valley to the old Centennial Trail, which has now become part of the Trans Canada Trail (also known as the Great Trail) a 15 000 mile trail from the Pacific ocean on one side of Canada to the Atlantic ocean on the other side of Canada with a side trek up to the Arctic ocean...much like the Pacific Crest trail in the USA, just a lot longer (which also ends about 30 mins from my house).. https://www.postholer.com/google-map...-Crest-Trail/1 https://thegreattrail.ca/explore-the-map/ everything is running high right now with the snow meltdown.. some other people out with SXS's and atv's enjoying the fine weather |

...speaking of....( the water is actually well over his head, he's standing on another log...)
and no diesel, that log is a little too big for you to drag in.... the Trans Canada trail used to be multi-use pretty much everywhere around our place, but that seems to have changed now....which i think is pretty stupid, atv's are what keep the trails open, ain't enough hikers ever walking them to keep them from reverting back to nature.....beyond here is foot or bicycle only now....i'd just keep on riding up it if my son was'nt with me...do'nt want to start him on the road to bad habits in the woods though... |

but as it turned out, this was pretty much the end of riding for me today....
 wife's quad...run into an old buddy of mine (worked with him in the early '90's!) camped by Williams peak, which came in handy for me... left my atv with him and had wife double me back to the truck so i could bring it in closer to where my buddy was camped..... because i got a flat. i hit a rock real hard and the tire went flat pretty much instantly, could'nt see anything at first, so i figured i knocked it off the bead. at first i took some starter fluid and tried to re-set the bead. after messing around with it some, this gash reared it's ugly head....and right in the middle of the sidewall.... .....so much for this tire. jammed a couple plugs in it, lasted 'bout 20 mins under riding, split kept getting bigger.....held air long enough to get it on and off the trailer....my day is done-bummer...another 3-400 hundred for tires now....crewcab paint job keeps getting further away...... |

son was a little upset, he's really enjoying himself and having a blast on his new quad...
who am i to stand in the way of his fun, told him to keep riding...him and wife went on a 45 min ride....i just sat at the truck and drank a few beers...but i still have old dawg for company |

got some new mud lites for my quad. there a 25, the stock size were 23's. picked up about 10-12 mph on the top end....blowing the sidewall out of my old tire was not all i managed though, it also bent one tie rod almost in half....new tie rods are here tomorrow, just in time for some Coquihalla riding this weekend... had a 4 yr old brand new superwinch i mounted on the kid's new quad....he can't wait to yank something out of his way... |

our long weekend was two weeks ago. we managed to get out every day of it...
me and my son hiked into a nameless lake between Custer ridge and Mt Lockwood... 49.080925, -121.307653 there was snow here and there still, and it is one heck of a climb in... |

but some nice views... dawg and this funky little bridge did not get along....dawg did not like walking on the expanded screen, walked to the side of it, and almost slid off just before i took these pics....and here he's doing it again... |

decided to head up the Fraser canyon to Hell's Gate and ride the tramway.
stopped at the wetlands park so dawg could do his thing... they got a floating bridge out to a island in the lake |
