Molding question

New member here with recent interest in these beautiful trucks.

What dictated a factory '66 2 tone (4wd) truck having the side molding?

Was it trim level package?
2wd / 4wd exclusive?
Only chrome bumpers & grille came with molding?

Did any 2 tone trucks with white bumpers & grille have the body molding?

I've searched many pic / rebuild threads and can't seem to find the answer.

Re: Molding question

Side molding was a separate option. Some options are packaged. My truck has "Custom Chrome" (grille, front bumper), "Custom Comfort" (cloth seat, armrests, passenger lock, pass visor), and "Custom Cab" (the b pillar trim), but no trim.

Re: Molding question

Thank you!

I'd dug into it more today and found a thread here that indicated that, but it is nice to have it confirmed.
