Rearview mirror for `58 Apache?

I bought a rearview mirror and bracket from Classic. The bracket has three holes and the truck only has 2 holes that are spaced a little wider. What does the original mirror and bracket look like on a `58 Apache. I also bought the center speaker cover for my truck so I want my mirror to fit with that cover installed.
Any help would be appreciated

As far as I know, someone else will chime in to confirm whether it is or not

Re: Rearview mirror for `58 Apache?

I went by the shop today and gave it a look again. The new mirror bracket barely covers the factory holes so I just drilled new holes and mounted it today. Looks great. Next I’ll tackle the center speaker and radio I guess. I also looked inside the doors to find both window channels sitting at the bottom of the doors. I’ve been looking for those for days, lol. It looks like I’m gonna need new window regulators too, these are shot. One is rusty and hard to move up and down, the other is bent pretty bad. More $$$ to spend on this old thing but it’s worth getting back on the road before these politicians try to ban these too.

The original mirror bracket does have three mounting screw points, your speaker cover will have a rounded cutout at the bottom of the cover this is for the speaker cover to go over the center screw hole of the mirror bracket.

Best of Luck with your truck!

I found my old mirror today and it only has 2 mounting screws that matched the factory holes. It does have a wider center section that fits up under the speaker I guess but no screw hole. I’ve already installed the new reproduction mirror so there’s no going back.
