Heater box removal
Frogive me but i'm new and a bit lazy to look at old posts, plus i like fresh info... Staring at my firewall and the countless Cutom Classic Truck mags, when guys remove their heater bo to have a cleaner looking firewall, how do they have heat? Is there an aftermarket under dash heater core or something? Or do they all live in warm climates? I'd love to rid my firewall of that ugly box but i'd freeze

Check out some street rod mags, web sites etc. They will have what you want.\
Real trucks don't need heaters! |

I smoothed the firewall on my 67.I put a small forklift heater on mine.Its behind where the glovebox door is.I ran the the heater hoses thru the ventdoor on pasenger side they will run inside the fender.I put my stereo where the heater controls go.

i really wish you would just call me or come visit. i'd love to do a Q&A with ya.
here's what i'm planning for my 71. run hard lines from the in and out ports along the engine untill they reach the back then into the cab via stainless hoses,up the firewall with hard lines again untill you get to your heater box. pull the fresh air from a new opening above the passenger kick panel vent and it should leave people wondering how you did it. ondrew |
