K20 front axle
My son just got an 82 K20 and it needs the driver side front axle, my question is will a 1/2 ton of the same yr or yrs work, I know on my truck it originally had 3/4 ton suspension and I went with 1/2 ton and was able to use the front lockouts and outer gears in the 1/2 ton..I'm thinking that it's just the outer hub that's different for it to be 8 luggers...Oh and I think it's a 10 bolt front axle in the 82...the axle apparently had a bad universal joint and was snapped that messed up the axle cause the joint is destroyed...Thanks for the help gentlemen...

it should work coming from either a k20 or k10. the splines and lengths are the same.
